Cooking oil recycling: Project TGIF

Is a student-led project where restaurants and residents recycle their waste cooking oil, it gets turned into biodiesel and is donated to charity to support families who require heating assistance.

The idea was first initiated after reading an article in The Westerly Sun about the WARM Shelter’s A Dollar A Week campaign to raise funds for heating assistance in Westerly, RI. At the same time, we knew of the growing problem of global warming and the emissions produced by conventional petroleum based fuels.
We looked for a solution to this problem through recycling cooking oil.

ORGANIC GARDENING

 Humans have had a close relationship with plants , though these have had an even closer relationship with each other. For best results of the vegetables , herbs, fruits and flowering plants is important to adopt a plan of organization based on common sense . There are many aspects of complementary plantings , including the mixture of vegetables and flowers in the same flowerbed .
 This technique began centuries ago in European rural gardens , but in present applies worldwide and more projects in permaculture , creating compositions of vegetables in flower beds and the ecological gardens which are a harmonious blend of all type of both edible and ornamental plants . This union is a beneficial way between vegetables with fruits, flowers, herbs , trees and shrubs , you just have to imagine a garden like Eden .
 There are many reasons for the current popularity of complementary planting , as you probably will find as you go doing your permaculture project. Plants can and do help control insect pests , a mixture of plants with different tolerances to disease decreases the risk of virus or bacteria damage our garden.
 Example , if the soil planted with closely spaced plants summit , there is no room for weeds to grow and soil drought and storm water is protected, while available land is used rationally .
A climber plants the other support plants while weak stem plants are best protected if the winds are guarded by stronger plants planted near them. SUSTAINABILITY: ECOLOGICAL LABELING

Purchase appliances with eco label is the smart choice: consume less energy and less water, pollutes therefore last longer play time and also can be recycled.

We can do it ourselves or pay others to do to us .Two supply systems . In the modern world for the last hundred years or so there has been a huge change in history only in an imbalance between nature with our way of life . As a result of this, people are becoming more self-sufficient and less dependent. Many people get caught in the safety net .
 We must return to the idealized past when people grew their own food . And this means accepting full responsibility for what is done and one of the greatest rewards is the joy that comes from the full development of each task, from planting wheat to eat their own bread itself.
Man should be a farmer , not the operator. This planet is not intended for our propvecho . A farm autosficiente promotes many forms of wild life undisturbed and at peace.
